How can inquiry practices and digital texts/tool help differentiate instruction in ways that engage all learners?

For this activity, you will write up a critical review of a digital resource and then orally share your review in class with a small group. For extra credit, you can create a screencast of your review to share as well. You may choose to work with a partner or work alone. If you work with a partner, you need to explain at the end of the assignment what each of you did to contribute to your joint review.

IMPORTANT: Please come to class on Tuesday prepared to orally share a summary of the digital resource you reviewed in small jigsaw groups (your "Interview committee") - bring a laptop or ipad if possible to display the resource so you can demonstrate what it looks like and how to use it. Each of you will have about 10 minutes to share your review.

  • Digital Resource Review (15 points):
  • EXTRA CREDIT (5 points): Highly recommended so you can practice for later in the semester. Don't panic if you can't figure everything out by next Tuesday - we can help in class and you can have more time to submit this part of the assignment.

    • Free tools you can use to make your screencast:
    • Two options for saving and sharing your screencast:screen.png
      • OPTION 1: If you save/publish your screencast as a video file, save it on your computer and rename the file: LAST NAME_Screencast 1 Then upload your screencast into the Digital Products Google Drive folder
      • OPTION 2: If you save/publish your screencast by selecting Screncast-O-Matic (or if you get a website address with Screencastify), it will create a custom link for your video. Copy that link into the table in this file so we can access it later.
